MCC Great Lakes Sailing Adventure!

Ahoy! Come set sail aboard Michigan Crossroads Council's newest addition to the Outdoor Adventures Program!

The Retriever, a 52' ketch, is an offshore sailing program where youth will learn the fundamentals of sailboat handling, steering, waterway navigation, marine safety, and various cruising techniques used by seasoned sailors!

Based in its home port of Mackinaw City, MI, the Retriever will embark on excursions to various destinations in the northern Great Lakes.  Planned packages include day cruises, weekend cruises, and week-long cruises. The Retriever is designed to accommodate co-ed crews (2 staff & 12 participants); Charter Packages will be available for any BSA unit or other youth organization. The Great Lakes Sailing Adventure is designed for Sea Scouts, older Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts or Venturers.

Participants must be at least 13 years of age by September 1st of the year they participate for Week-Long Packages.

Participants must be registered Boy Scouts, Venturers, Varsity Scouts or Sea Scouts for Weekend Packages.
