On April 27, 2014, the Diocese of Lansing Catholic Committee on Scouting will host its annual Recognition Sunday. This event celebrates and recognize all the youth in the Diocese that have earned a Youth Religious Emblem over the past year.

When your Pack or Troop signs up and meets the unit building qualifications, each NEW scout recruited from now until Oct 10 (with a completed application and payment submitted to council) with receive a Fishing Pole (rod and reel) and Tacklebox plus an invitation to attend a special New Scout Fishing event where they can earn the Fishing Belt Loop, enjoy a complimentary meal, and have family fun.

The event is October 11 from 10 am - 2 p.m.  Keep checking the Chief Okemos Hooked on Scouting Page for the latest information and helpful tools to build a Stronger Pack or Troop.
