BSA Contingent to 2015 World Scout Jamboree in Japan
A World Scout Jamboree is a once in a lifetime experience. Because they are held once every four years and youth participants must be 14 but not 18 years old, a Scout or Venturer has one opportunity to participate. The next World Scout Jamboree will be held in Japan from July 28 to August 8, 2015.
ADULT LEADERSHIP POSITIONS - Applications are being accepted for adult leadership positions for Central Region BSA contingent troops and crews. Many positions have already been filled. For information and the application form, click here.
YOUTH PARTICIPANTS (BOY SCOUTS AND VENTURERS) and INTERNATIONAL SERVICE TEAM (JAMBOREE STAFF) - Applications are now open and applications and deposits are being accepted. For more information, click here.
Big Changes in World Scouting's Web Site
In mid-October, 2013, the World Organization of the Scout Movement completely revamped their www.scout.org web site. It now has a more Facebook type feel. Much of the information that used to be there has been relocated or is gone.
Because of this change, many links here to sections of www.scout.org no longer work. Please be patient as we try to find the new locations of this information.

New BSA International Spirit Award
International Department Boy Scouts of America has just introduced the new BSA International Spirit Award. To see the requirements for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers, and adults and how to order the patches, click here.
This award replaces the International Activity Emblem and the International Youth Exchange Emblem. The International Activity Emblem will no longer be available once supplies at Scout Shops are gone. The International Youth Exchange Emblem is ordered from International Department BSA. They have a large supply of those patches in stock and will supply them to youth and adults who meet the requirements as long as they have the patches. For the requirements and information on how to order, click here.
Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) or Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI)

Travel to Canada and Interact with Canadian Scouts
Michigan Crossroads Council units have the opportunity to do International Scouting on a weekend
trip, traveling to Canada and interacting with Canadian Scouts. There are a number of International Camporees in Canada that Michigan units can participate in as well as Scouts Canada camps where you are very likely to encounter Canadian Scouts.

2016 Michigan International Camporee
The Michigan International Camporee, which the Michigan Crossroads Council inherited from the Chief Okemos legacy council, is the largest council-run multinational camp in North America. Once every four years, Scouts, leaders, and staff members from 20 or more countries come to Michigan for a miniature World Jamboree.
